We have updated the important dates' table ***UPDATED: 3 April, 2024***

***NEW*** We have (again) extended the abstract submission deadline! The abstract only submission deadline has been extended up until 20 April, 2024.

***NEW*** We have managed to secure an additional extension for Early Hotel reservation (at special reduced prices) up until 30 April 2024! Do not miss this opportunity, while keeping in mind that you can cancel your reservation with no cancellation charges up to 3 days before the day when your booking begins.

***NEW*** In line with the two extensions above, the deadline for Early Registration (at reduced prices) is also pushed to 30 April 2024.

Dear Colleagues!

It is a pleasure to invite you to contribute to the development of the scientific and professional programme of EMBEC 2024, the 9th European Medical and Biological Engineering Conference organized by the Slovenian Society for Medical and Biological Engineering. Since we could not make it in person in 2020, the conference of the International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE) and European Medical and Biological Engineering Conference (EMBEC) will be held in the Congress Centre Bernardin in Portorož, Slovenia, from 9 to 13 June, 2024.

We aim to present all traditional BME areas, but also to highlight new and emerging fields, such as Artificial Intelligence in Health Care, Tissue Engineering, Bioinformatics, Neurotechnology, Electroporation-based Treatments, and Technologies for Medicine and Biology, to name a few. Moreover, we will emphasize the role of education, translational research, and commercialization of new ideas.

Our aim is to make EMBEC 2024 a platform for engineers, physicists, biologists, and medical professionals to enhance our collective knowledge and scientific achievements by bridging complementary disciplines and new findings into an interactive and attractive forum.
